Mining Geologist £20,000 - £40,000
Our clients provide a comprehensive range of underground consultancy and research services and supply geotechnical instrumentation equipment for mines throughout the world. They are looking to recruit two rock engineers, one senior and one junior who will have at least a degree in an appropriate discipline and relevant underground experience The successful candidates will be working mostly in mines and tunnels on projects concerned with rock mechanics such as support and mine design. This work also involves assessment of tunnel lining stability, working alongside highly experienced rock engineers. Work is often a combination of practical skills involving the installation of measuring equipment, with analytical skill to interpret data and possibly numerical modelling. Communicating with clients is also a key requirement
